Who can enter?

Any business, community group, school, social enterprise or charity can enter that is based in Cornwall & Isles of Scilly. You can enter by either applying for your own organisation or nominating another organisation for an award, as long as there are no conflicts of interests. You will be asked to declare these in the entry form.

What is classed as a business?

A business is any enterprise engaged in an economic activity, regardless of its legal form.  An economic activity is the sale of products or services at any given price. Businesses can include CICs, charities and sole traders also.

How many categories can I nominate an organisation for?

Only 1 category per organisation.

If you’re not sure which category to pick, you can have a discussion with us to decide which is the best category. Just email us at [email protected]

On the judging day, if the judges feel that your entry would stand a better chance in another category they will move your entry accordingly, and we will let you know.

Where can I view the criteria per category?

You can view this on the home page, or when you fill in the nomination form.

How do I know if my emtry has been successfully uploaded?

You will have a notification email that your entry has been successfully submitted.

How do I know if my supporting evidence has been successfully uploaded?

You will have a notification email that your supporting evidence has been successfully uploaded.

Can I submit my entry by email?

We’d like everyone to use the online form. It’s simple to use. There is a PDF version of it on the website which you can download / print out for reference. However, you can’t submit your entry by email or post. If you are experiencing any problems let us know by email [email protected] 

What happens if I have missing information within my entry?

We will contact you when we have checked all the entry if we need more information.

Can I nominate a previous CSA winner?

Yes, however, the information in the entry form must be about work done since their previous award entry.

Who are the judges this year?

The judges are representatives from the following organisations; Cornwall Council, Cornwall & Isles of Scilly Local Nature Partnership, Cornwall & Isles of Scilly Local Enterprise Partnership, Cornwall Chamber of Commerce, Cornwall & Isles of Scilly Growth Hub, the Environment Agency, and the Federation of Small Businesses. When is the application deadline?

The application deadline is the 31st October 2021.

When is the judging day?

The judging day will take place in early November.

When is the award ceremony?

The Award Ceremony will take place on Friday 3rd December. The award ceremony will hopefully be a live event this year (depending on any coronovirus restrictions).

When do I hear about this year’s shortlist?

You will hear by email in mid-November whether the organisation you entered has been shortlisted for an award. This year’s entries will be listed on the website homepage.
